Hey, this is just a monthly idea which I just check up with you guys, upload a few things. So lets get started!

A girl who lived nearby has just died of cancer and well it’s been a tough time. She had a head tumour and she sadly lost the battle. My Chemical Romance are favourite band and I think they have meaningful music.

I right now am in love with tresemme’s Volume and Lift hair moose. It is really good and gives your hair great body and volume no matter how flat it starts out.

Life in general.

Hey guys, so recently my life has had a few ups and downs. Like I mentioned earlier on, a friend of mine has died of cancer. Very sad I know. But other than that life has been pretty cool. I still go to skate parks with my friends but now I also go to bike tracks and then the local park. ( For photography) I have had trouble with guys recently but to be honest right now I prefer them as friends. Ice skating I have just learnt how to do jumps and spins (Result!) and I’m really enjoying it at the moment. I have just started to choose my options at school. The ones I plan on picking are Business and Ict and if I can food tech. I don’t know why but I have always seen myself doing business.

The power of photo editors

Hey guys, this post is kind of a follow on from the post “Being body confident.” Today I heard that the site “Picnik” Photo editor was closing down therefore I took a visit for one of the last time.

I wanted to see how powerful the program really is so I found some photos off the internet that I believe could be made better with an editor.

Some things cant be helped

As you can see with the results, I did quite an okay job if I do say so myself ( I sound a bit cocky here) . But my whole point is if I, a fourteen year old could achieve this with a free editor, than when celebrities get their photos edited… What do they look like at first? They will have professional software at hand that will most likely cost a lot of money but I just used a website of the internet. This proves that not all celebrity photos are how they seem to look. Take Britney Spears as an example.

On these photos, she was staring in an ad and asked for her photo to be taken and she agreed. Without her permission they edited it but she luckily saw them before they were released so banned the air brushed photos going to the public.

I’m going through so much drama at the moment.. Friends family boys(so confusing but i suppose they dont matter right now)… I think every teenager has it happen to them though.

Beauty tip of the week: greasy hair.

*Please note that if you have dark hair then I suggest you use a minimal amount as it might show in your hair

Let’s be honest. We all have those days when we wake up for school / work and our hair looks as If we have ran lard through it. The worst part is.. You have woken up late and so will be late for your job or school so no time for a shower! What to do What to do?

But fear not! Just a tiny bit of baby powder ran through the hair will do the trick as It takes the grease right out of our hair*! Apply it to the roots of your hair ( not too much) and then comb it out and it will take the grease with it leaving it looking fine.

Sorry I haven’t been updating as often as I would like, got my exams coming up pretty scary things ey? I have just had my Spanish exams and fingers crossed it has gone to plan (I hope) so expect more to come in the future I’m not giving up on blogging!

My boring but unique January

Now that the joys of December are no longer with us (sigh) we are out of excitement! January to me is my least favourite month, as Christmas and New Year have ended and its ages away from summer. What I do like though is being able to start all over again and being free from the mistakes we made the year before. (Believe me I had my fair share last year!)

It is also a new chance for us to go for a new daring hairdo/ makeup look. To be honest I don’t feel that much of a difference coming on for me yet. The only thing that has changed about me this year is the fact I started to back comb my hair. ( Why must it damage our hair?!)I have rambled on a bit here, now for the interesting parts!

What I did over the holidays and early January

During the holidays, (late December I suppose) me and my friends went to the local skate park a couple times. I’m not a skater by the way, I go to support my two friends Matt and James as the rarely get an audience (bless their souls). Me and my girl friends actually really enjoy seeing them do what they love. I can honestly say it’s such a good and adrenaline filled atmosphere, sometimes pretty scary though but exciting at the time. I would recommend it for girls who are into skater guys or ones that are into more exciting activities. Not really for the girly girls (sorry!) but if you get the chance to try it, then what you waiting for? Try it! You never know you might enjoy it.

Casual yet cute make up.

Of course you want to dress the part to go, so I put together what I would recommend wearing.

Also, you want to have decent hair of course (Hello...guys go skating!) but nothing too special, as you don’t want to look like you are trying too hard because at the end of the day it’s a skate park, not a dinner date.I would say a messy bun or pony tail would be

stylish and perfect for a skate park. But I just straightened mine as I don't suit my hair up.

I get that  skate parks are not every bodies cup of tea so you may want to consider ice skating, it’s a great thing to get involved in with a lot of opportunities. It can be embarrassing when you first start (falling over- EEK!) but at the end of the day even the pros had to start somewhere right?!

For ice skating all you need to consider wearing is something which is warm, flexible yet comfortable, I recommend leggings and they go with almost everything.

So yeah, all my January will consist of is skate parks, hanging out with my friends, ice skating and of course the January sales!

Winter will eventually pass guys! Then here comes my favourite time of the year... SUMMER!

My Unique School emergancy kit and tips on surviving high school

School emergency kit and advice

Hey guys, as you all know it’s new year and sadly the time school comes sailing back around.:( I have personally had very embarrassing beauty issues occur during school, therefore I put this little post together just to both share my experiences and help it if anything likewise does happen to you or your friends.

 Mirror

Where to begin? If you do your hair in a complicated style or makeup then it is essential to have a mirror to check that things are running smoothly.

When I was 12 and I first discovered hair moose I used to load it on my hair! Which one day lead to my hair frizzing so badly even my teacher laughed at me!Hey you learn from these times.

     Bobbypins/hair ties

When it’s a hot day in class and your hair is drooping over your face it feels horrible. So if you have bobby pins on a hot day available USE THEM as it gets your hair out of your face while you are working on studies and less time will be spent worrying about your hair and more on your work.

Mints

If your school is anything like mine then they will be serving quite literally the smelliest food ever ( the worst mine does is curry and garlic)! Also if you are sat in a classroom without speaking for a while, your breath might smell bad then too. I would say to bring some mints into school because as much as I love chewing gum, it isn’t allowed at my school (unfair much?!) so you don’t want to get in trouble for it. I would say the whole of my class has chewing gum, yet I am the only one who gets caught :/.

Money

Every day without fail I will get a return on my bus for the way home. You don’t want to get in the panicking position I have been put in, it’s really worrying when you reach out for your ticket and…surprise surprise it’s not there! It will also help if you forgot to bring lunch with you or didn’t have breakfast.

Pads/tampons

One of the worst things that can happen to you at school….The painters (period) strikes again! It is one of the worst things to happen to you at school! I’m not going to go too in depth with this one…. At least you may also help a friend but if you do forget them the school nurse is sure to have them in case of an emergency.

Basic Makeup

If you’re the sort of girl who loves to look good, I would recommend minimal makeup such clear mascara, lip balm and at a stretch concealer. You don’t want heavy eye makeup as it can run or smudge during the school day.

water

During the school day we can get quite dehydrated and that’s bad for our bodies. As we all probably already know water has 100% no calories and is very nourishing to our skin. I definitely recommend if you have PE/ games on the particular day.

General advice

Treat people how you want to be treated.

If you are being bullied, you MUST tell someone, it gets easier.

In high school, being with the “in” crowd seems so important, if your school is like mine there is a group of girls that guys swoon over. Yet the backstab each other! Do you really want to be in a friendship which is just full of secrets and lies? 

You must pick your friends carefully and no matter what never give in to something you don’t want to do that they do. It might seem uncool but when your friends are doing something that they should you can look at them and laugh. Laugh at how stupid they are being. I personally love seeing people get drunk and seeing what crazy actions they do, if you told them what they were doing they would not believe you…HONEST!

I feel like I have rambled a bit but oh well my other posts haven’t been quite as long as this one so I have made up for it!

A Unique This or that tag

Hey guys, today I thought I would do something quite different, I think you will enjoy it though!

MAKEUP:

Blush or bronzer -  Blush for definite! I never really wear bronzer.

Lip gloss or lipstick – Lip gloss, its natural yet effective

Eye liner or mascara - Mascara, I’m not the best with eye liner

Foundation or concealer - Foundation :)

Neutral or colour eye shadow - Neutral because colour doesn’t suit me whatsoever.

Press or loose eye shadows – Press as I am a lot messier applying loose eye shadows.

Brushes or sponges - Brushes,  I think they work better and sponges can be unhygienic if not washed regularly.

 

NAILS:

OPI or china glaze – China glaze!

Long or short – Long I think they are just nicer looking.

Acrylic or natural – Natural! Acrylic ruin your nails.

Brights or darks – Dark suit me better most likely.

Flower or no flower – Excuse me?

 

BODY:

Perfume or body splash - Perfume, although I love impulse!

Lotion or body butter – Lotion any day!

Body wash or soap - Body wash, I think it’s so relaxing.

Lush or other bath company -  Lush- they sell loads!

 

FASHION:

Jeans or sweat pants - Jeans .

Long sleeve or short – Short.

Dresses or skirts – Hardly have any skirts so dresses all the way.

Stripes or plaid - Plaid

Flip flops or sandals - sandals!

Scarves or hats - Scarves! My hair looks silly when in a hat.

Studs or dangly earrings - Studs! They look so much cuter.

Necklaces or bracelets - hmmm.. Difficult, but I have to say…bracelets.

Heels or flats - I wear flats more but I adore heels.

Cowboy boots or riding boots – Don’t have either but I think Cowboy boots would be cuter.

jacket or hoodie – hoodies!:’)

Curly or straight – Straight because I can never get the curls I desire.

Heres to the start of a wonderful year!

New year 2012- what are your thoughts?

hola mis amigos!(hello my friends)

Hey guys, first I would just like to mention about my original blog- Buniquebeauty. For an unknown reason, it ended up being deleted :(. But I have made this one as a substitute.

How was your new years eve? Me? I spent it at home playing on the Wii with my mother. I wouldn’t have spent it any other way to be honest! How did you spend yours? You’re not too hung-over right? I would love to hear from you! 

Back on topic, (I always go off!) I have set multiple new year resolutions this year, last year I managed to achieve my resolution which was to no longer bite my nails (willpower to not bite nails right now) I love to see my nails grow!

My resolutions 

• To no longer be as shy.

• To try and get more followers on my blog and stay as dedicated as possible.

• To be a nicer person.

• To try and get back in contact with old friends.

I personally believe that 2012 is the year everything will make sense, no I do not mean because of “21st December 2012” as I personally do not believe in that. I mean nobody can predict the end of the world…right? Don’t ask why I think that, as I actually don’t know!

I am mostly exited for summer as it is by far my favourite season! 

I'm back at school on tuesday:(! So expect a blog on hair and makeup for school and/or work.

Remember to make the most of your years guys, when we are older we want to look back and smile not frown right?! Learn from yesterday, Live for today, hope for tomorrow.
